Yes. All public inboxes on ReceiveTmpSMS are free to browse and use. There are no sign-up fees, subscriptions, or credit cards required for public numbers. We plan to support the site with advertising - not by selling private number rentals on this product.
No. Public inbox messages are visible to everyone who opens that number’s inbox. Because numbers are shared, anyone can view the same messages. Never use these numbers for banking, email recovery, important two-factor authentication, or any service with sensitive data.
On ReceiveTmpSMS, a temporary number is a shared public number whose inbound SMS appear in a browser inbox. Many people can use the same number. It is useful for testing and low-stakes signups, but it is not a private burner you own.
ReceiveTmpSMS is a phone-number inbox viewer. We list Temporary public numbers from supported countries; when a text arrives, it appears on that number’s page. You do not rent the number and you do not get exclusive access.
Often yes. Support depends on the app and on which numbers are available. Some apps only send SMS to certain countries. If one number does not receive the code, try another Online number from the same country. The Services pages help you browse by app.
For safety we may filter sensitive message types such as banking or password-related SMS. Missing messages can also mean the SMS went to a different number, the app blocked the range, or there is a delay - refresh the inbox or try another number.
No. ReceiveTmpSMS is for receiving inbound SMS only. You cannot make or receive voice calls, and you cannot send outbound SMS.
Wait a short time and tap Refresh on the inbox. High-traffic shared numbers can be slower. Switch to another Online number if nothing appears. For banking or critical codes, use your personal number instead.
Choose a country, open an Online number, copy the full number including country code, paste it into the app requesting verification, then return here and refresh the inbox to read your code. Guides walk through the flow in more detail.
It is appropriate for testing, one-time signups, and non-sensitive verifications. It is not safe for banking, account recovery, or long-term accounts - because the inbox is public.
Use the Countries page for the current list. Pick a country your app accepts. Inventory can change as numbers go Online or Exhausted.

No. ReceiveTmpSMS only provides shared public inboxes. If you need exclusive access, use a different provider.
Exhausted means the number is not currently recommended for new verification attempts (offline, overloaded, or rotated). Prefer numbers marked Online.
